Mr. Gerald Weiner, also known as Gerry, served as an elected Member of Parliament for the federal government of Canada. Mr. Gerald Weiner held various titles working for the Canadian government: Secretary of State, Minister of Multiculturalism and Citizenship, Minister of Immigration, Parliamentary Secretary to External Affairs and Queen’s Privy Councillor.
As part of his lengthy service at the most senior levels of the government of Canada, Mr. Gerald Weiner was responsible for the creation of the Department of Multiculturalism and Citizenship, was principle author of the Canadian Multiculturalism Act and was centrally involved in the creation of the Immigrant Investor Program. He is also a pharmacist and former Federal Cabinet Minister.
Jim (James) Metcalfe
James has 25 years of experience with the Government of Canada working as a Foreign Service Officer in Ottawa and overseas, first as a Visa Officer and then as a Consul and Officer in Charge in Canadian Embassy’s and Consulates in Europe, Australia and the United States as well as tours of duty in Ottawa.
In 1993 he left the government and established his own successful consulting firm in Toronto. In 2005 he moved to Pace Law Firm with his team to establish an Immigration department. In 2017 he retired from Pace but remains active by assisting several law firms and consultants on complex immigration cases in the Toronto area. With his experience as a Visa Officer, Canadian Consul, and as a Consultant, he has assisted thousands of people to immigrate and to live, work, and study in Canada. His work has required extensive travel throughout Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. James’ knowledge of immigration law and procedures has resulted in an expertise to analyze issues and resolve complex problems quickly.
Alexander Shetinin, PhD
Alexander Shetinin is a renowned scientist with a Ph.D. in Physics, a recognized engineer focusing on structural optimization, an author of multiple practical patents, a seasoned manager a founder and a Principal of the Capital Market Quantitative Analysis thinktank, CMQA International and a serial entrepreneur, a founder of a unique advertising network Ringlet Media revolutionizing three major industries at once.
Alexander’s main expertise is in business strategy planning and execution, growth hacking, conceptual development, financial analysis and planning, project management, start-ups, business acceleration, online marketing, automation software. As an Executive VP of eTVnet, Alexander became a leading force behind the global iHWW TV expansion, strategic marketing, and deployment. The breakthrough technology of the Internet Hotel Worldwide TV Platform (iHWW TV) created a new paradigm of the video content distribution and was a natural expansion of the leading positions in IPTV into a new market. iHWW TV broke the mold of the video distribution industry.
Michael is a serial entrepreneur that has invested in and launched multiple ventures within the healthcare and medical space. He is actively involved in mergers, acquisitions and consultancy and has founded several companies that are aggregators of ideas for projects and intellectual property in the biopharma and medical device industries.
Michael has experience consulting and advising entrepreneurs and connecting them with funders, mentors, advisers, business planners, incubators and accelerators to ensure that projects and ventures are economically viable. He has over 18 years of experience in direct marketing and sales in commercial real estate and the international fenestration industry.
Michael is a trusted adviser with a passion for identifying market opportunities and strategic partnerships to foster accelerated revenue growth for partners.
Slava Apel has been inducted in to the “Walk of Fame Awards” by Alexander Bezzina (Deputy Minister for the Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration) at Acces Employment group for making a world of difference in the lives of New Canadians in 2017. In 2018 Apel, was nominated by EY as Entrepreneur of the Year.
Mr. Apel has been in the marketing, print, and technology industry for more than 20 years, during which time he founded software company that offers marketing, order automation, and order fulfillment.
Apel’s main expertise covers growth hacking, print, direct marketing, app development, sales training, start-ups, business acceleration, online marketing, automation software, and cloud-based software.
He is one of the industry’s Who’s Who and is widely considered one of its top influencers, including being voted among the Top 35 Most Influential Canadians in the Print Industry, Top 10 Industry’s Most Knowledgeable Speakers, Top 25 Most Influential Sales Directors in Social Media, Top 100 Suppliers to the Print Industry, Top 50 Suppliers in the Promotional Industry, and Top 100 Supply Chain Suppliers Worldwide. Most recently, his software company was nominated the Top Software of the Year (2017).
Slava Apel has authored two books, one on cloud technologies and one on online sales, is a founding member of the Society of Internet Professionals, and teaches at two universities and 20+ conferences per year on the topics of sales, marketing, print, and automation.
Currently Mr. Apel holds a title of “Enterpreneur in Residence” at York University, teaches and mentors in 5 business incubators and activelly participates in Angel groups.
